Biography

Practitioner-Led Risk Intelligence

Adrian Clements founded AMC to bridge the gap between theoretical risk frameworks and the practical realities of managing risk in complex, fast-moving organisations. With more than 25 years of hands-on experience spanning banking, asset management, insurance, and industrial risk, he combines deep quantitative expertise with pragmatic governance insight.

His career has included senior risk responsibilities in major international institutions, advisory work for boards and executive teams on risk appetite, governance design, and regulatory capital, and influential public commentary on topics ranging from supply chain resilience and political risk to captive insurance and Industry 4.0.

In recent years he has continued to shape the debate through 2026 keynote work with ERMINe, the IRM, Roehampton University/CIMA, and Risk-In, as well as 2023 and 2022 engagements with Airmic and Risk-In on sustainability, the future role of the risk manager, and the value of risk-based transformation.

He is recognised by the Institute of Risk Management as a Global Risk Management Professional and by StrategicRISK as European Risk Manager of the Year, and his speaking and writing have featured in FERMA, Mapfre Global Risk, RiskNet, MarcusEvans, The Economist, Linklaters, and Global Risk Magazine.

Adrian is also active in thought leadership and institutional development through roles including Board Member of ERMINe, co-founder of BeyondRM, Team Lead for AIPF, and contributor to European Commission guidance on risk management best practice for extraction industries. His recent public presence also reflects 2020–2021 knowledge-centre articles and 2022 LinkedIn thought leadership on backcasting, operational risk, and macro-event preparedness.
