Adrian Clements

Adrian Clements founded AMC to bridge the gap between theoretical risk frameworks and the practical realities of managing risk in complex, fast-moving organisations. With more than 30 years of board-level operational and risk leadership at ArcelorMittal and Tereos — two of Europe's largest industrial groups — he combines deep operational expertise with pragmatic governance insight.

His career has included Group-level risk and operational leadership at ArcelorMittal ($80B revenue, 150+ sites) and Tereos (€5B revenue, 49 plants), regular reporting to Executive Committees and boards, capital allocation oversight, and earlier captive insurance and alternative risk transfer work for major industrial clients at General Re.

In recent years he has continued this work as President & Managing Partner of AT-IPIC International Consulting, the boutique advisory practice he founded in 2019, advising industrial and energy sector clients including National Grid and DundeePrecious through the ATLAS Value Plan Methodology — alongside a 2023–2025 period as Chief Operating Officer of Hydreatio, a water security technology company.

He is recognised by the Institute of Risk Management as a Global Risk Management Professional and by StrategicRISK as European Risk Manager of the Year, and his speaking and writing have featured in FERMA, Mapfre Global Risk, RiskNet, MarcusEvans, The Economist, Linklaters, and Global Risk Magazine.

Adrian is a Certified Fellow of the Institute of Risk Management and a Senior Member of both the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. His recent public presence also reflects 2020–2021 knowledge-centre articles and 2022 LinkedIn thought leadership on backcasting, operational risk, and macro-event preparedness.
